James Doherty and his wife Alisha, both of whom hail from Nashville, Tennessee proved to the world that they were diehard Batman fans. How? In order to announce that they were soon-to-be parents, they participated in a photoshoot… a Batman-themed photoshoot to be more precise. On the 21st of April in 2017, James posted on Reddit a photo of him and his wife, both equipped with Batman outfits and a tiny Robin costume in Alisha’s hand.

The photo had a comment saying, “My wife and I have a sidekick on the way.” The photos reached far beyond just Reddit as James posted more shots on Imgur. All images received praise and positive responses from viewers.

The soon-to-be dad was evidently ecstatic as he shared further details about the photoshoot, revealing that his Batman suit cost north of $900 before he even bought the cape. James continued to explain that he assembled his own cape by rolling up layers of latex together – talk about dedication!

Despite the eccentric photoshoot, the Nashville couple received a multitude of support and love globally. One Reddit user remarked “I just want to let you know that you might be one of my favorite internet strangers ever. Carry on.”

Other Reddit fans had similarly heartwarming comments to add, racking up more than 1,200 comments. Some were overjoyed about James’ post to the extent that they made attempts to Photoshop the couple’s post onto a Bat Cave background. James also added that the couple's stunning costumes have been a crowd-puller in local children’s events.

The couple is certainly going to be enthusiastic kick-ass parents and their future “sidekick” kid is bound to a life of crime-fighting and helping the needy. Not to mention the couple will soon have a baby Robin to complete a cosplaying trio.

This Mother Definitely Made an Unusual Popsicle

All parents can chat for hours about the teething issues they've had with their baby. It is a painful, tiring, and thankless job - emphasis on the painful for baby. Added to the struggles of being a new parent and dealing with a whole new lifestyle, it’s difficult to deal with an issue you have no clue how to solve.

Over the years, mothers have found a variety of solutions to deal with it. However, this method used by Tasia Blackwell is definitely among the more… unique methods - for lack of a better word.

Regardless of how you feel about it, it looks like it was pretty effective.

It was June 2nd when Tasia Blackwell shared the video of her son sucking on a popsicle. Nothing looked out of sorts until she reveals that the popsicle was made from breast milk. And she had aptly named it a ‘milksicle.’

She continued, in the post, stating that this ‘milksicle’ helped with the baby’s teething issues while also satiating his hunger. She also added that he seemed to love it. Since the popsicle was an easy shape, her baby found it easy to consume while also drinking milk.

If you are also looking for suggestions on what to do, this could be a strategy worth exploring. Alternatively, you can give the baby something to chew on but make sure the baby can’t choke on it. A cool rag, a soft toothbrush, or a firm rubber toy are all options parents can look into.

Also, be sure to avoid all over-the-counter medications such as Orabase, Anbesol, Baby Orajel, and other similar products. These products contain an anesthetic that can cause a serious blood disorder. This disorder is called methemoglobinemia and can be deadly in certain cases. So, Tasia actually hit on a healthy way to soothe baby.
